New team rider Charles Gronloh

Charles is a super motivated, all round snowboarder. Foremost he likes to ride full speed trough the powder, combining a fluid yet aggressive style with airs and cliff drops (up to 15 m.). Not afraid to hike, he enjoys and respects the Alpine environment. He is also an avid and stylish freestyler and is able to bust massive 720’s on the biggest kicker line, ride (street) rails and represent in the halfpipe.

Next to getting airtime he loves going fast and is able to straight-line a backcountry bowl or even a top to bottom run on a piste. If you want to know if he can ride switch, just ask David Doom. He also likes to ride boardercross. Just for fun, because he rides for the riding sensation not to compete against others.

He has done full seasons in Les Trois Vallees / Val Thorens & Mayrhofen, has worked as a tour guide in Risoul, Les Arcs, Tignes, La Grave, Val Thorens and Mayrhofen and has often vistited Grindewald and Whistler.

Next to snowboarding Charles enjoys skateboarding, surfing and mountain biking. His combined love of traveling and surfing has taken him to countries as: Indonesia, Costa Rica, Panama, Morocco and Peru.

Charles has been snowboarding for around 17 years and was one of the first Dutch riders to ride on a Never Summer board. When Never Summer was first distributed in the Netherlands 15 years ago, he probably was the first sponsored rider on a Never Summer as he got a Never Summer from his former sponsor Frosty Palace (a boardshop from Zeist). He fully supports the quality of Never Summer as he himself has ridden 2 full seasons on a Never Summer board, where other brands wouldn’t last 1. Charles is as stoked to be on the Never Summer Benelux team, as we are to welcome him aboard.
