We have been partnering with The Rider Social for a few years now. Originally as a chalet and test centre and now evolving to offer action packed backcountry and splitboarding trips. Every year we look forward to the times we get to hang out and ride with these guys. The reason TRS works for us is that no matter the conditions we are always guaranteed a good time. These shots are from a couple of days in April 2016.

Partnering with the best local guides makes the difference. Local knowledge is key when it comes to making the most of the weather and snowfall available. Knowing where to go every day to find the best snow, whilst also taking factors such as visibility and safety into consideration is something that only comes after many years exploring.

In terms of equipment – TRS have a lot of gear! Never Summer splitboards, set up with Voile skins and Spark R+D bindings. There is also safety gear from Ortovox. A large selection of NS test boards are available all season.

This winter TRS are offering more backcountry courses than ever before! There are a mix of options depending on your ability, fitness and experience. There are intro level course, getting you started in the world of off piste, showing you the gear and how to use it, then taking you on your first hikes and splitboard walks. Then there are more progressive options, spending more time hiking and on the splits, and staying in a refuge. For the more adventurous riders – there is the option of going from refuge to refuge, crossing terrain and really experiencing all the mountains have to offer. There is also the option of creating your own bespoke week of adventure!
