Snowboarder Magazine are doing an interesting experiment to try and get a totally unbiased review. They asked ten brands to provide a board for the test – they had to have totally black top sheets and bases. Next they teamed up with Mammoth mountain resort who have an amazing park set up with a variety of different features. Finally they needed someone to do the testing – 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic gold medalist Sage Kotsenburg was currently out of a board sponsor making him available!
NS sent our a Proto Type Two – this is our best seller and capable of doing whatever is thrown at it! Watch the full review:
As soon as I strapped it on my feet, I felt like I could pretty much do anything right away. I love the shape of this board and I like how playful it is. You can do any butter in the world on this thing. It turns surprisingly well for being so soft. I’m speculating that on rails it will be really awesome. I’m a little concerned by how soft it is for jumping, though. I think it will be really good for 30-40 foot jumps, but I’m a little concerned on how it will ride on bigger ones.

Sage scored the Proto 30/40 – the highest score so far in the test. Read the full SNOWBOARDER Magazine Blackboard Experiment NS Proto Type Two review or find out more about the NS 16/17 Proto Type Two.
